Protect your mobile data with a touchscreen enclosure

Protect your mobile data with a touchscreen enclosure
I know that my data needs to be secured, which is why I have a variety of security measures in place. Of course I rarely have top-secret information that I take with me on the road, but if I did, I would make sure that I had an external drive which was well protected. This DataLocker would be one good way of doing just that. Rather than taking the route of dealing with security measures from Windows (or whatever OS you’re using), it is simply locked down by a 6-digit code which you input on the small touchscreen. Without the proper code, you can be sure that your data is perfectly safe and locked away. (Read the full post about ‘Protect your mobile data with a touchscreen enclosure’…)

New players team up with LiMo Foundation
by Chris Ziegler, posted May 14th 2008 at 10:05AMFollowing a new round of partnership announcements back in February, LiMo Foundation today added 8 new members, bringing the grand total to 40 — and perhaps most notably, Verizon Wireless becomes the first American carrier to team up with the group and the Foundation’s final board member (in other words, they seem to be taking this initiative pretty seriously). Other new players include South Korea’s SK Telecom, France’s SFR, Sagem, chipmaker Infineon, and Mozilla, suggesting that there’ll be plenty of mobile Firefox support for LiMo’s nascent platform. LiMo represents the largest Linux-based threat to Android’s plans for world domination, having a (Read the full post about ‘New players team up with LiMo Foundation’…)

Samsung set to enter US laptop market in effort to boost sales
by Donald Melanson, posted May 14th 2008 at 12:13PMIt looks like Samsung is shaking up more than its management today, with the company now apparently also set to finally expand its laptop business into the US market as well as an “as yet unnamed European country.” This latest move, as you may recall, follows a string of problems the company has faced, and it looks like if things don’t pan out as it plans with this effort, it could have even more repercussions for the company. Swiss-built Personal Wings Jet-Powers Man Into Air

Written by admin on Thursday, May 15th, 2008 in gadgets.

From the dawn of intellectual thought, man has been contemplating the idea of independent flight, soaring through the clouds, nothing between us and the earth’s surface. What if us humans had wings?

No doubt, airplanes were a huge step towards the independent flight of man, but in order to fly a plane, you have to be a licensed pilot, and who has the time and patience for all of that mess? A Swiss man named Yves Rossy has unveiled his personal flyer, a jet-powered set of wings which allows humans to act as airplanes, even performing plane stunts such as the figure eight.

48-year-old Rossy sprang into the air at 7,500-feet, jumping from the inside of a Pilatus Porter aircraft, with nothing but a pair of eight-feed wide wings standing between himself and the unforgiving Earth below.

iMainGo 2 MP3 Player Speaker
At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this year, Portable Sound Laboratories unveiled the iMainGo 2, an upgrade to the iMainGo. The iMainGo is a speaker system designed with the iPod in mind, but can accommodate other MP3 Players. In fact, the iMainGo 2 has a new feature to help fit all kinds of MP3 Players. This custom fit technology, also known as iMainGo Foam, is a spongey thing that allows whatever brand of mp3 player, be it the Zune, Zen Stone, or anything else, to be securely housed. Another new feature of the iMainGo 2 is the upgraded high quality, premium titanium speakers which give unusually high-quality sound for something its size. The original iMainGo made quite a mark on the marketplace. (Read the full post about ‘iMainGo 2 MP3 Player Speaker’…)
