Woz on Psystar’s Open Computer/OpenPro: ‘I Like the Price, I May Get One’
The fellas over at Ars spoke to Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak about this whole Leopard emulating fiasco with Psystar, as well as the history of hackintoshes. Lo and behold, it appears the Woz agrees with our legal assessment of the situation: That if Apple does decide to do anything, it will likely issue a simple Leopard update that breaks system compatibility. Woz says that when Apple switched to Intel, the company probably included copyright code somewhere in the Intel-based Mac’s EFI boot ROM. And while Psystar’s machines are purported to emulate the Mac’s EFI, he thinks it won’t work in the long-term. Hello Kitty MP3 Player

Hello Kitty MP3 Player
I wonder just how many times can Hello Kitty release an mp3 player - this version comes complete with a trio of different switchable ear phones consisting of one with a Hello Kitty red ribbon design, another with a pink crystal, and one with a crystal butterfly to complete the girly look. Each $139.99 purchase comes with 7 different games to help you kill time along the way. Strange for this MP3 player to not include any memory of that sort while charging such an exorbitant price - you will need to provide your own music via miniSD memory cards. You won’t see me touching this with a 10’ pole, that’s for sure. (Read the full post about ‘Hello Kitty MP3 Player’…)

First Look: Red Digital’s Scarlet ‘Pocket’ Professional Camera
RED Digital announced the Scarlet handheld specialty camera at the NAB 2008 conference this week (in Vegas of course), and it’s a potentially red-hot build. Due to its high-quality, sexy-looking specs, they’re already calling it, rather sheepishly, the ‘Pocket Pro.’ No joke required here, other than the fact that when its whole build is set up, the camera is most definitely not large enough to fit in anyone’s pocket. The Scarlet has a 2/3-inch Mysterium X sensor, 8X t2.8 Zoom lens, and can shoot up to 120 frames per second at a 3K  (3000 pixel) resolution. That is high, though not as high as last year’s RED One camera. Some of the other quality features include the 100 MB/second capture rate of RAW HD video, and a burst option at 180 fps. LG CU720 Shine (AT&T) Review - Digital Trends

Written by admin on Wednesday, April 16th, 2008 in gadgets.

Digital Trends reviews the LG CU720 Shine (AT&T) and writes, “The LG Shine for AT&T has a 2.0 megapixel camera with fixed focus lens and a flash. It takes great pictures by 2 megapixel camera phone standards. The still images have sharp detail and natural colors; they’re not overly sharpened or color saturated. In most outdoor shots, the contrast is very good. In some outdoor shots, there is a slight purple tint. The noise level in indoor shots is low by camera phone standards, and the light and color balance look good. The LG can take photos in 5 resolutions ranging from 1600 x 1200 to 160 x 120 photo caller ID. It also has a multi-shot mode and self-timer.
